    The most awaited final of the second edition of the Indian Premier League was between Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers. This match was held in the new wanderer’s stadium Johannesburg. It was a fun filled man with huge excitement. These two teams faced a big blow last season and it was a joy for them to see themselves in the finals. The toss was won by the royal challengers and they chose to field first. Gilchrist and Gibbs started the inning for the Deccan. Gilchrist lost the wicket early facing just 3 balls. Gibbs played well for 53 runs, Symonds scored 33 runs. The team managed to score 143 runs in their 20 over with the loss of 6 wickets. Kumble magical spin gave him 4 wickets. With the target of 143 runs, 7.15 RPO was needed by the challengers. Kallis and Pandey stared the innings. Pandey lost his wicket scoring 4 runs. Only Taylor managed to score 27 runs. Royal challenger’s batsman collapsed and lost their wicket to the chargers. After 20 over, the team scored 137 runs with the loss of 9 wickets. The Deccan charger won the trophy against Royal Challengers by 6 wickets. It was a game of many thrilling moments. Deccan chargers won the match with a lot of team effort. The man of the match was given to Kumble. Adam Gilchirst won the player of the series award as well.

    The 2nd semi finals of the Indian premier league were between Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers. Royal challengers won the toss and invited the Chennai super kings to bat first. Patel and Hayden started the match for the Chennai team and made 50 odd runs. Other‘s in the team score a few runs and lost their wicket easily. With the target of just 147 runs in 20 over Kallis and Pandey opened the inning for the Challengers. Pandey score 48 runs while Dravid also made 44 runs and lead the team to success. In 18.5 over, with the loss of 4 wickets challengers made 149 very easily. MK Pandey was given the man of the match award. The Royal Challengers won by 6 wickets.

    The 56th match of the Indian premier league was between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Deccan Chargers. Bangalore chose to bat first after winning the toss. Royal challengers started their match with Kallis and Pandey. Pandey played extremely well for his 114 runs in 73 balls. The team managed to get 170 runs with the loss of 4 wickets. Ojha of the Deccan chargers picked up 2 wickets each. The target was 171 runs for the Deccan chargers. The Deccan innings started with Gibbs and Gilchrist, Gibbs scored well for his 60 runs in just 43 balls and Gilly made just 15 runs. The other batsman in the team dint score well and the team collapsed. The managed to get 158 runs after 20 over. MK Pandey won the man of the match award for the team.

    The 52nd match of the Indian Premier League was between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs. Delhi daredevils. The Delhi Daredevils won the toss and chose to bat first. Gambir and Sewag started the innings. Sewag went back with the zero. Other batsmen managed to score some runs and brought the score about 134 runs with the loss of 7 wickets. Praveen Kumar took 3 wickets for his team. Royal challengers Bangalore started their inning and Kallis played well for his 58 runs. With the loss of 3 wickets, the team won the match scoring 135 runs. The man of the match was given to JH Kallis.

    The 44th match was between Royal challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super kings. Chennai super kings won the toss and chose to bat first. Vijay and Hayden opened the batting for Chennai. Hayden as usual makes 60 runs in just 38 balls. Raina and Dhoni made 13 and 18 runs respectively. The middle order collapsed. Finally Chennai made 129 with a run rate of 6.55 runs per over. Kumble, Vinay Kumar, Kallis took 2 wickets for Bangalore. With the target of 129, Uthappa and Kallis opened the batting and dint fare well. Taylor and Kohli held the inning and scored well and reached the target in 19.4 over with the loss of 8 wickets. Morkel and Oram picked two wickets each. Taylor of royal challengers won the player of the match award.

    The 41st match of the Indian premier league was between Royal Challenger Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. This match was played at supersportpark, centurion. The Royal Challengers won the toss and chose to field first. The Kolkatta Knight riders started well with McCullum scoring 84 runs. Hussy made his best with 43 runs. At the end of the 20 over for the loss of 4 wickets the team scored 173 runs to their credit scoring about 8.65 runs per over. Vinay Kumar scored 2 wickets for his team. The second inning started of with the Bangalore team with Ryder and Challis both played for 20 odd runs each and lost their wickets easily. Taylor played a fabulous game and scored a smashing 81 runs in just 33 balls with 7 fours and five sixes. Karthik picked up two wickets for his team. Finally the Bangalore team won by 6 wickets with the run rate of 9.16.they completed their target in 19.2 overs. Taylor was given the man of the match award

    The 38th match of Indian Premier League season-2 was played between two costly teams, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at St. George’s Park, Port Elizabeth. Yashpal Sharma was the referee for the match. Mumbai Indians who won the toss elected to bat first. Though it lost its skipper Sachin for a duck, Jayasurya, Rahane and Duminy joined hands to raise the score to 157 runs with a loss of just 2 wickets. Bangalore started stumbling right from the beginning. They started losing wickets at regular intervals. Boucher managed to score 48 runs off 33 deliveries. Bangalore was able to score only 141 runs in 20 overs. So Mumbai Indians won the game by 16 runs.

    The 33rd match was between Royal challengers Bangalore vs. Rajasthan royals played at Supersport park, centurion. Rajasthan royals won the toss and chose to field first. Almost all the royal challengers batsman did not play well and loss their early wickets. The scored a total of 105 runs and lost all wickets. A. Singh took 4 wickets. Rajasthan was the best at their bowling. 106 was a easy target and Rajasthan made it quite comfortably Ojha made 52 runs. Smith and Pathan scored 20 odd runs and made their victory very easily. The run rate was around 7.13 runs. The player of the match was A Singh. This match was a clean sweep by the Rajasthan royals. They outperformed the challengers in all aspects of the game.

    The 28th Match of Indian Premier League season -2 was played between Royal challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. Right from beginning Mumbai struggled to score huge. With Jayasurya and Bravo scoring half centuries, the Mumbai Indians scored a decent score of 149 for the loss of 4 wickets. Royal Challenger, who lost Jaffer, continued playing well. With Uthappa and Kallis scoring more than 60 each, the Royal Challengers scored their 150 runs target in just 18 over. Kallis who scored 69 off 59 balls was judged the Player of the match. It was a easy victory for Bangalore against Mumbai Indians.

    The 24 the match was between Royal challengers Bangalore vs. Kings X1 Punjab which was played in Kingsmead, Durban. This is a day/ night match. Royal challengers won the toss and started to bat first. Ryder and Goswami dint bat well as they just made 12 runs together. The top scorer for royal challengers was Van Der Merwe who scored 35 runs. The royal challengers put up a score of 145 runs with 7.25 runs per over. Yuvraj bowled very well and took 3 wickets. YA Abdulla too picked up 4 wickets. Punjab started their batting with Yuvraj Singh and Goel. Yuvraj played well for his 50 runs. There was a big middle order collapse and no other batsman played well. This was one of the worst performances of kingX1 Punjab. The player of the match was given to Yuvraj Singh who hit 4 huge sixes and 3 fours. The Royal Challengers won by 8 runs.
