With a brand new idea of promotion and fun, Indian Premier League found, many untold problems both with International cricket council and other cricketing bodies around the world. In spite of all these, IPL season 2, which was rescheduled in South Africa, went fine. Adding to this, Actress and owner of IPL team Rajasthan Royals went missing at the closing ceremony. She was expected to share stage with American R&B artist Akon. However, this gave an edge to Katrina, who danced for popular Jai Ho song.

Closing Ceremony Overview

Soon after the thrilling final match between Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers, the fun filled closing ceremony began. It was an electrifying ceremony at Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. It includes performance by world renowned music legend Eddy Grant and American super-star Akon. Eddy Grant performed his famous ‘Walking in sunshine’, while Akon performed his Grammy Award Song, accompanied by Shilpa Shetty, co-owner of IPL Team Rajasthan Royals. Glamour part was by model turned actress Katrina Kaif. Another program was one featuring renowned percussionist Shivamani. The whole ceremony was big and amazing.
