Unlucky 13
Posted on March 7th, 2009 No commentsThe thirteenth match of Indian Premier League season 2 was no big thriller for us. It’s a fight between lion and deer. Chennai Super Kings took on Knight Riders of Kolkata. But the Lion is not always lucky. There is something above powerful Lions, rain. Yes, the rain stopped the game. The match was abandoned without a ball being bowled. It’s again rain at Newlands. The match referee GR Viswanath awarded both the teams with one points each.

Rain at Newlands
Posted on February 5th, 2009 No commentsThe 3rd match of the Indian Premier League was between the Delhi daredevils and the Kings X1 Punjab. This match was held in Newlands in Cape Town. This match was stopped now and then by rain. Somehow the mach started with the minimum of 12 over and kings Punjab was put to bat as the daredevils won the toss. The Punjab inning went on well as the opening batsmen made a good partnership. Goel scored 38 runs while Bopara score 22 runs and the rest gave away their wickets early. The kings X1 Punjab made 104 runs of making 8.66 runs per over. The best bowler of the daredevils was DL Vettori who took 3 wickets. Due to rain, the match was stopped and the Delhi team had to score only 54 runs in just 6 over. The opener Gambhir and Sehwag made it at ease. The cricket fans were not happy in the way the match went on, it was certainly unfair to judge a team by just 6 over. Anyways two points was given to daredevils. It was an easy win by 10 wickets. The man of the match was Daniel vettori.
